National Make A Difference Day provides an opportunity for people of all ages to gather together in the largest national single-day of volunteering. No matter who you are or your abilities, everyone has the power to do something that improves the life of another.
Delaware County’s intergenerational Make A Difference Day event is open everyone. It is the perfect occasion for individuals, families, and groups of all ages to volunteer together as a team. Just one morning of volunteering truly makes a lasting difference.
Hundreds of volunteers will gather, beginning at 8:00 am at Camp Lazarus with a light breakfast and job assignments for the volunteers. Volunteers then go out at 9:00 am to older adult’s homes and area non-profits to do outdoor chores or a special project. The volunteers then return to Camp Lazarus around noon to turn in their paperwork, grab a hot dog and talk about how much fun they had and how much it meant to the people they served.
