Sexual Assault Response Network (SARN)
Looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful investment while helping others? HelpLine’s Sexual Assault Response Network (SARN) program needs compassionate and motivated individuals to joining the volunteer team in assisting survivors of sexual assault. Free professional training is provided along with other unique educational and worthwhile victim service opportunities.
After completing the application and interview process volunteers will be trained to respond to Survivors of sexual violence with sensitivity and support while providing 24/7 coverage of our rape crisis services at emergency and law enforcement departments. The FREE training includes comprehensive education on the scope of sexual violence and crisis intervention and advocacy skills will be developed, with direct services experience gained.
Volunteers must be 18+ years old with a high school education (or higher), have transportation with car insurance and a good driving record, pass a background check, go through interview process and attend SARN training.
SARN serves Delaware, Morrow, Crawford and Wyandot counties.
Next training begins Saturday, February 24, 2018 – the full 40-hour training will span through March 8, 2018.
