City of Dublin

Becoming a Dublin Recreation Center Volunteer is a great way to to help on weekdays. The staff offers many classes that are in high demand. Volunteers are important partners to ensure that the classes can happen.  They are especially in need of help on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday mornings for children’s programs.

Park Ambassadors spend their already-usual-walk-time in their neighborhood parks to monitor safety and horticulture, greet park users, send in maintenance needs or concerns, lead occasional volunteer projects, and even help with Nature Education classes scheduled in those parks. Dublin Bicycle Ambassadors (DBAs) do the same, except on the amazing shared use pathway system. DBAs send in photos/maintenance requests while out riding, offer to assist those on the pathway system in need of help, lead or ride-along with occasional group bike rides, and assist Police Officers with Bike Safety education.
