Substance Use Disorders

Purpose:

Participants will receive a review of substance use disorders in the DSM-5, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. There are some significant changes to this DSM since the IV-TR and participants will find out some of these changes. Participants will leave with a renewed sense of courage while tackling a new diagnostic tool.

 

Learning objectives:

Participants will:

  • Learn specified changes, new sections, and significant differences to substance disorders,
    anxiety disorders and bipolar disorder
  • Learn the similarities to the previous diagnostic tools to increase confidence with new
    diagnosing
