2018 IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio

Friday, July 27, 2018, 2:30-4:30 pm

The IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio triathlon begins with a single-loop, 1.2-mile swim in the calm waters of Delaware Lake. Athletes will then embark on a flat and fast 56-mile bike course that includes a few technical sections along the way. The course will wind through Delaware, Marion and Morrow counties before returning to Transition 2, located at Ohio Wesleyan University’s Selby Stadium. Finally, athletes will take on a double-loop, 13.1-mile run course with gently rolling hills. The course offers scenic country views and an amazing finish in front of Selby Stadium.

The triathlon is scheduled for Sunday, July 29th, 2018. More than 2,000 volunteers are needed on race day and the days leading up to the event. Duties range from athlete registration and venue set-up to finish line support and aid stations. Volunteers will be given an IRONMAN shirt to wear that day.

Athlete Check-In at each IRONMAN event is a critical part of the race experience and Connections is putting together a team to do the check-in on July 27th, 2:30-4:30 pm. Check-In is where athletes pick-up all of the necessary paperwork and race articles necessary to compete in that specific IRONMAN event. Volunteers will need to arrive at 1:30 and will be done at 5:00 pm.
