LSS Delaware Food Pantry
A New Way to Provide Quality, Dignified Service
Clients will be able to order the food they need via a website. They will still be able to choose the food they need the most on the same monthly basis. The food will be delivered to clients at a pickup location of their choosing in strategically identified neighborhoods. Delaware distribution will be held at the existing storefront on London on certain dates and times, as well as at the current Delaware County mobile locations. This will help LSS streamline operations and save costs.
Volunteers will still be needed at the Delaware Pantry to help clients throughout central Ohio access needed food. Volunteers will help clients place food orders and navigate the new online ordering system, help collect feedback from clients to ensure the quality of services and, and answer questions about the new system. Volunteers should be age 18 or older, available between 10:00 am and 2 :00 pm on weekdays for 2 or 4 hours shifts, have great listening, communication, basic phone and computer skills and have a compassionate heart and a desire to help others. Training required.
Volunteers will also be utilized at the Distribution Center in Delaware to run food distributions and to work in the warehouse to prepare trucks for food distributions and to process incoming food into the system.
