Delaware Safety Town is an educational program for children entering kindergarten or first grade in fall. This interactive program is designed to educate children in safety topics and techniques that can be utilized in real-life situations. Topics include: fire safety, bike, bus, pedestrian safety, the proper use of 911, poisons, stranger awareness, traffic safety, and animal safety. In addition participants will be introduced to firefighters, police officers, school bus drivers, and many other community helpers.
Volunteers are needed to assist during the 4 sessions listed below. There will be 60 children at each session – two sessions are already sold out! What a great way to help kids lean about safety!
Volunteers will need to attend the June 8th Orientation (8:45-11:15am or 12:30-3pm).
Session I – June June 11-15, 8:45am-11:15am
Session II – June 11-15, 12:30-3:00pm
Session III – June 18-22, 8:45am-11:15am
Session IV – June 18-22, 12:30pm-3:00pm
