SourcePoint provides community support for older adults with in-home care services such as Meals on Wheels, help with chores, and transportation to medical appointments, as well as resources and support
Chef’s Assistants: SourcePoint’s kitchen is in need of volunteers to help get the meals prepared for homebound Meals On Wheels clients. Their food is 80% made from scratch by both staff and volunteers. Must be able to stand for a couple of hours and enjoy working in a kitchen. Free lunch for volunteering!
Dining Center host/hostesses: Assist diners at SourcePoint’s Café 55 with registration and carrying trays. Light clean up and set up. Volunteers receive a free lunch during their shift.
Pool Attendant: Volunteers: are needed to sign members in and out of the pool and monitor the area. Good sit down job. CRP training is provided and a free pool walking session is a perk for volunteering.
Meals On Wheels in Sunbury: Drivers are needed to deliver in the Sunbury area. No need to come to SourcePoint, the meals and supplies are dropped off and picked up at Rainbow Place Apartment in Sunbury.
Caregiver Relief Companions: Volunteer to visit with a senior in his or her home while the caregiver takes a break to run errands or go to church. Volunteers are matched with a family and the schedule is decided on that suits both. Mileage reimbursement available.
Art Assistant: SourcePoint’s art manager is in need of assistants to help keep her supplies organized and to lead some basic craft classes.
Quilters: SourcePoint is looking for quilters to make baby quilts to be donated to hospital maternity wards. Join the group or work on your own.
Volunteers must be age 18 or above, or accompanied by an adult.
