Suicide Prevention Walk

The 8th Annual Suicide Prevention Walk is being held Saturday, September 8th from 9:00 am – Noon  starting at the OWU Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Avenue, Delaware, OH 43015.
(Between the Hamilton-Williams Building and the Beeghly Library. )

The Walk is all about hope, awareness and change. This year’s walk will focus on offering a safe environment for people on any area of the spectrum of suicide and suicide prevention. This event supports survivors of suicide, those who have attempted and survived, anyone struggling with thoughts of suicide, those who care about someone who struggles with suicide, and those that are coming to support the efforts of suicide prevention. All are welcome!

You can help by volunteering. Volunteers are needed to help at the Peyton Heart Table, Social Media Table, Honor Flags, Snack & Water Table, Kid’s Activity Table and to hold up signs of encouragement along the walk.

Come out and volunteer – support our community and help increase awareness about suicide as a public health problem that can be prevented. Help increase each person’s ability to seek help and prevent further loss of life.
