Purpose:

This 3-hour presentation will review the types of supervision, the stages of supervision and some of the pitfalls that can occur when someone is becoming a supervisor. We will practice ways of supervising in order to allow the supervisor to reflect on self as a tool.  We will also learn a fun group supervision method.

 

Learning objectives:

By the conclusion of this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn the different roles that a supervision must have and display, as well as the understanding the impact a good supervisor has.  Examples on how to fulfill this will be given
  • Learn the weight and importance of each role and how to manage them all while also helping supervisees prepare for supervision.
  • Learn and practice peer group supervision model.
