Volunteer for Strengthening Families

Volunteer to help kids pick out the school supplies they need on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, July 31 through August 23. Flexible hours available between 11 am and 4:30 pm at Willis Education Center.

The Strengthening Families Initiative, led by the United Way of Delaware County, is designed to create environments and opportunities where children and families can learn, grow and thrive.

Comprised of 30+ local social service agencies, government agencies and non-traditional partners, they are working collectively to improve the lives of our children. They are doing this by focusing on increasing social emotional development opportunities for the Early Childhood Education goal, and to increase engagement opportunities for middle schoolers through the After School Programming goal.

Strengthening Families seeks to increase their capacity for middle school after-school activities focusing on youth development and mentoring. They are seeking to expand STEAM Programming. STEAM is Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. To learn more about the STEAM Program and what positions are available, please contact our Volunteer Resource Coordinator, Colleen Dennis, at cdennis@helplinedelmor.org and she will help you.
