Adaptive Sports Connection
Adaptive Sports Connection connects individuals with disabilities, their families, volunteers, and community organizations through a lifetime of adventure sports. They accomplish this by providing volunteer-driven adventure opportunities, promoting teamwork, and fostering self-advocacy through coaching and mentoring. Prepare to have fun and make a tremendous impact.

In addition to the weekly paddling sessions, they are several kayak days throughout the week plus monthly offsite adventure kayak trips, and two large events, Watersports Weekend (July 19-21) and Everybody Paddles.
New volunteers are required to attend one dry-land training and one on-water training in late May. Optional in-pool sessions are also available for new volunteers to get more comfortable in a kayak or for returning volunteers to learn advanced rescue techniques. Additionally, Adaptive Sports Connection will offer additional on-water training on the 3rd Thursday of each month June-August. Minimum age to volunteer is 15.
Set Sail for a purpose with Adaptive Sports Connection!
The Small Boat Sailing Program is a fun opportunity for participants and volunteers to try something new and learn to sail, share sailing skills and knowledge they already have, or just get out on the water and have fun!
Volunteers will act as shore help, equipment crews, sailing assistants or lead skippers depending on their skills, training, and desire. Sailing programs will alternate between Saturday and Sunday every week during the summer. Volunteers of all skill levels are needed! Volunteers will be trained in all necessary areas to reach the skill level desired. Preseason on land and in water training is available.
Opportunities include: snow skiing, water skiing, kayaking, cycling, climbing, paddle boarding, snowboarding, sailing, fishing, and more. They provide significant training and certification opportunities.
