Adaptive Sports Connection

Give your edge a purpose by volunteering in adaptive skiing or snowboarding!

Adaptive Sports Connection offers adaptive ski lessons at Mad River Mountain and Snow Trails Resort every Saturday in January and February.

  • Minimum age to volunteer is 15.
  • Volunteers of any skiing or boarding ability are welcome and will be matched with lead instructors and adaptive participants based on their skills.
  • Volunteer for half day (2.5 hours morning or afternoon) or full day (5 hours) and receive free lift ticket and rentals if needed on the day you volunteer. Registration for volunteers closes Friday at noon each week.
  • In addition to the 8-week Saturday sessions, they also offer special Friday or Sunday veteran events up to 2 times per season.

Adaptive Sports Connection connects individuals with disabilities, their families, volunteers, and community organizations through a lifetime of adventure sports. They accomplish this by providing volunteer-driven adventure opportunities, promoting teamwork, and fostering self-advocacy through coaching and mentoring. They are always looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to become a volunteer team member. They provide training to all our volunteers including advanced training and certification for volunteers who want to become sports leaders. Volunteers must be 16 years and older. Prepare to have fun and make a tremendous impact.
Opportunities include: snow skiing, water skiing, kayaking, cycling, climbing, paddle boarding, snowboarding, sailing, fishing, and more. They provide significant training and certification opportunities.
