Volunteer at BIA Parade of Homes Sept. 1-16
Habitat is excited for the opportunity to represent their organization at the BIA Parade of Homes this year. The parade will be in Union County at Eversole Run in Jerome Village, September 1-16, 2018.
Volunteers will be needed in shifts every day of the Parade to staff stations at two model homes.
If you volunteer, you will receive a volunteer pass for the day that grants you free admission so that you have the opportunity to tour the Parade of Homes before or after your shift. You will also receive a Habitat for Humanity t-shirt for you to wear during your shift. There will be opportunities to pick up your pass and t-shirt in both Delaware and Marysville during the month of August. Emails will be sent to registered volunteers with additional information.
Habitat for Humanity of Delaware & Union Counties will earn $20 for each hour of your service!
Sign up with a friend or family member to make a fun day of it, and raise funds for a great cause!
Habitat for Humanity of Delaware and Union Counties is part of a global nonprofit housing organization working toward their vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
All skill levels – from willing learner to professional builder – are welcome. Instruction is provided, and volunteers are never required to do any work they’re uncomfortable doing. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty and sturdy, close-toed shoes and be willing to put in a good day’s work to know they are truly helping Habitat provide families a decent place to live in their community.
