Supervision and Self – Care; Improving Work Place Engagement 

Purpose:

Are you curious about how you, as a supervisor, can improve workplace performance by improving employee and student engagement?

This workshop is designed to educate participants about proven methods for developing a high performing culture rooted in actively engaged staff through self-care and team building. Participants will actively engage in this material through lecture, experiential activities and guided small group discussions.

Research-based interventions (State of the American Workplace, 2018) will be described highlighting ways supervisors can implement self-care and well-being practices into their daily activities. Special attention will be placed upon the development of staff strengths.

Learning objectives:

By the conclusion of this workshop, participants will:

1. Participants will be able to identify three ways to improve employee and student engagement.

2. Participants will be able to describe at least three interventions to develop supervisee strengths

3. Participants will be able to identify at least three activities to enhance supervisee and supervisor wellbeing
