Veteran Companion Animal Services

The mission of Veteran Companion Animal Services (VCAS) is to enrich the lives of veterans, military families, and dogs through the many benefits of the human-animal bond. VCAS recognizes the many sacrifices made by American veterans and military families and work hard in service to them.

VCAS matches shelter dogs with veterans who have PTSD – saving two lives with one match. They pay for the food and vet bills for the first year and provide training for the dogs. VCAS is currently looking for a volunteer or college intern to assist with office/administration duties, with some of these tasks in the office and some being done from home.
