Ethics
Purpose:
A review of the ethical laws and rules of the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. This course will provide instruction on how to avoid common ethical pitfalls and give detail on several ethical violations.
Learning Objectives:
  • Clinicians will examine the role of the Board and learn how investigations work.
  • Clinicians will learn about common ethical concerns that other licensees have encountered, and how to avoid them
  • Clinicians will learn about major ethical violations, and their causes

About the Presenter(s):

Rachel I. Randall

Rachel Randall has been with the CSWMFT Board as an investigator since July 1, 2019. She previously worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities in the eastern part of the state. This work involved case management and some counseling of clients with a variety of disabilities, from physical, mental, and mental health. Before going to OOD she was an Investigator for the Emergency Medical Services Board for 4 years. She did presenting for their Board and testifying.

She has a Master’s in Criminal Justice and also a Bachelor’s from Tiffin University. Since coming to the board 2 years ago she has conducted trainings on conducting investigations, interview techniques, and statement analysis.

Rachel has 2 daughters and 2 dogs and lives in Pickaway County where she was raised. She and her family like spending time outside and enjoying music.
